Join us for a celebration of our favorite furry
(or scaly, or prickly, or feathery, or slimy...) friends!
Stories, songs, and a pet-tastic craft!
Registration begins February 9th.

Animals in Winter

Saturday February 9, 2013     10-11am

Ages 5 and up (ages 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult.)
Join us for a hands-on program led by a naturalist from Red Oak Nature Center!
Together we will learn about local wildlife and their fascinating adaptations
that enable them to survive our cold winters.
Everyone will have the opportunity to touch real animal furs and skulls!
Everyone attending must register. Registration begins Wednesday, January 30th.

Birds of Prey

 Saturday, January 19, 2013     1:00pm

Ages 5 - adult (ages 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult)

Messenger Library is going to the birds! Come learn about how hawks & falcons survive during the winter and where you might be able to spot one for yourself. An expert from the International Heritage Conservancy will share amazing information and bring a hawk and falcons for you to see up close. Bring your camera to pose for a photo with the birds after the program. 
Every person attending must register. Registration now open. 

STAR WARS INTERGALACTIC GATHERING!

Join our Jedi Masters for Star Wars activities and games.
Test your Jedi mind power, and make your own Origami Yoda!
