Can I volunteer? What do Teen Volunteers do?
Teens going into grades 7 and above can apply to be a
Teen Volunteer at the Summer Reading Desk. Volunteer shifts start
Monday, June 10, 2013 and end Saturday, July 27, 2013.
Volunteers must be available for at least 4 of the 7 weeks.
Teen Volunteers help kids and teens get the right reading log,
register kids and teens for the Summer Reading Program,
and (the best part!) hand out Summer Reading prizes!

How do I apply?
Teens can visit the Youth Services Desk to pick up a Teen Volunteer Application,
or click here to download the Teen Volunteer Application and print at home.
Teens must complete their own application and return it to the
Youth Services Desk by Wednesday, May 15, 2013.
Late Applications will not be accepted.

What happens next?
Applications will be reviewed by the teen volunteer coordinator.
Teens will be notified by email
(or phone if no email address is listed on the application)
by Wednesday, May 29, 2013 whether or not
they have been selected as a Teen Volunteer.
All Teen Volunteers must attend a mandatory training session on
Wednesday June 5 at 6:30pm or Thursday, June 6 at 2:00pm.
The Volunteer Schedule and information about the
Summer Reading Program will given out at training.

Join us for movie on the big screen!
Bring your lunch and we'll provide drinks and dessert.
Registration begins Wednesday, February 20th.
ACT Prep Time!
Sunday, February 17, 2013 1:30-4:30pm
Ages 12 and up
A representative from Kaplan will provide proctored ACT practice tests
and return scores with analyzed results. Don't forget your #2 pencils, a healthy snack,
and a four-function, scientific, or graphing calculator.
Registration is open Monday, January 28 through Wednesday, February 13.
Space is limited.

MAKE TRACKS TO YOUR LIBRARY!
Winter Reading 2013 begins January 7th!
Ages 12 - 17
Stop by the Youth Services desk to pick up your BINGO card.
Begin completing BINGOs,
and get in on some awesome Winter Reading Fun!
Prizes are available beginning Monday January 14th.
Participants also will be able to enter the grand prize raffle!
Make Tracks to your Library will run through February 23, 2013.
