Messenger Public Library has the following databases related to careers and small businesses:
Find full text management, economics, finance, accounting, international business articles, company profiles, plus industry and market reports, and more.
This database combines multiple types of resources for a successful job search, such as information on different occupations, tools to match your interests and skills with careers, local and national job postings, resume and cover letter resources, interviewing practice, and tools to organize and track your search progress.
Students and adults will find resources and practice courses for skill building in math, reading writing, and popular software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Publisher. Plus exams including the ACT, SAT, GED, ASVAB, Allied Healthcare, Firefighter, Police Officer, Paramedic, EMT Basic, U.S. Citizenship, Postal Worker, Cosmetology, Real Estate Agent and Broker.
This database provides access full text entries for nearly 100 regional U.S. and Canadian business publications (including titles from Crain Communications).
Value Line is a complete, multidimensional investment management solution that enables both new and experienced investors to make timely, better-informed decisions. It provides a wealth of in-depth financial information, plus objective research, insightful commentary, proven price projections, and advanced analytical tools. The Community Career Center is located in Naperville, IL, and provides a variety of services and programs for job seekers, such as career assessments, workshops, skill-building classes, counseling, and support. New Member Orientation is held on Thursdays and Saturday mornings, and membership currently costs $50 a year.
